DIAMOND EDUCATION
At Tate Diamonds, we believe that knowledge is the key to choosing the perfect diamond. Our Diamond Education guide empowers you to make informed decisions
by understanding the unique qualities that define each stone.

The 4C's of Diamonds
The beauty and value of a diamond are defined by the 4Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight. Understanding these qualities will help you select a diamond that perfectly reflects your style and occasion.
Cut
The cut of a diamond is crucial to its brilliance. It refers to how well a diamond’s facets interact with light. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, maximizing sparkle and radiance. At Tate Diamonds, we offer expertly cut stones that exhibit optimal brilliance and fire.
Color
Diamonds are graded on a color scale from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). The less color a diamond has, the rarer and more valuable it is. Our Namibian diamonds are hand-selected for their exceptional color quality, ensuring a bright, luminous appearance.
Clarity
Clarity measures the presence of natural inclusions or blemishes. The fewer the inclusions, the higher the clarity grade. Our diamonds are chosen for their remarkable clarity, reflecting the pristine beauty of Namibian gem rough.
Carat Weight
Carat refers to a diamond’s weight, influencing its size and presence. While larger diamonds are rare and valuable, carat weight should be balanced with cut, color, and clarity to find the perfect stone. We provide a variety of carat weights, allowing you to choose a piece that suits your style and budget.
At Tate Diamonds, we offer only the finest GIA-graded diamonds, ensuring exceptional quality and authenticity. Explore our collection with confidence, knowing each diamond is crafted to the highest standards.
